Peach and Mint

Hello lovies! This week thus far has been so beautiful and sunny! The pictures from this post, unfortunately had really weird lighting, so it's more of a quick outfit of the day. I am in love with this silver/metallic floral blazer, it goes with so many different pieces! Most importantly, I have finally mastered the sock bun, as seen below LOL. I am always a few steps behind all the hair trends (it took me FOREVER and 10,000 youtube tutorials to finally learn the fishtail braid!) 

My two favorite colors so far this summer are Mint and Peach/Coral. I love these pink Charlotte Russe shorts I got on sale last summer, they're actually somewhat dressy not that my pictures show of course. I've also decided it's time to ditch my casper-white skin tone and start laying out ASAP. Holy cow am I pale!

Romper Season

I'm baaaaaaaack!

So after what I now realized has been about a 4 month hiatus from my blog (I can't believe it was really that long!) I'm back with a new post!

In the 4 months that I have been out of the blogging world I have been tackling many things in my life, INCLUDING losing weight. I have lost 20 some pounds and am feeling so great physically and mentally! Which brings me to this post.

I have never been one to wear rompers in the summer. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore them. They are so cute! However, before losing weight I would've never considered actually buying and wearing one.

I found this gem at Charlotte Russe shopping the other day and figured 'what the heck' I'll give it a try. I instantly loved it! It's sweet and flirty, without the too much skin factor I cringe thinking about (hey my thunder thighs still need some work). So yet again my wonderful boyfriend took on the role of playing photographer. Many of the original photos I was of course pouting, making silly faces or ones that would lead you to believe I wanted to smack him in the face. (He is rarely serious these days)

Hi loves! Once again it has been a while, and I'd rather not make excuses, I'm just happy to be back! I hope everyone had a great New Years and beginning to their January! 

Typically, I wear a lot of black. Not just because it's the dress code at my job, but because of course, black is very slimming. Speaking of slimming...guess who's lost 15 pounds over the past month and a half? Yep, THIS GIRL! :) I'm so ecstatic, and I can't wait to keep losing and get into shape!

So today's outfit of the day is mainly black, paired with my FAVORITE new necklace. I got this beaut for my birthday in December from my boyfriend (who just so happens to be my photographer for my blog as well, and I think he did great on today's photos!)

What to Wear: NYE

Still trying to find the perfect New Years Eve dress? I'll admit, with the stresses and business that came with Christmas, I completely overlooked shopping for the perfect NYE dress, but you better believe I'm on the hunt now! I've always been a HUGE believer in having a sequin dress for New Years, for whatever reason to me, NYE and sparkle are synonymous. You also don't want to overdo it and completely damage your bank account on one dress you may or may not ever wear again.

Just for you guys, I've narrowed down my top picks that I've found online.

My Week Through Pictures

So, I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the lack of entries the past few weeks, things here have been CRAZY busy! Plus, most bloggers I know don't have to work part time or full time on top of blogging, and with being in retail, it has been nonstop!

My birthday was the 19th, so some of my closest friends took me out for drinks, which was much needed amongst the Christmas chaos, shopping, and work. Then we had Christmas of course, and divided our time between my boyfriend, Mark's family and mine. I felt like Reese Witherspoon in Four Christmases! So much family, so little time!

I didn't get to do an outfit of the day yet unfortunately, but here's some pictures to enjoy of my life the past week!

Some friends of Mark & I had dinner at Carrabba's (I'd never been there before! SO yummy!) This was my birthday cocktail I ordered called the 'Toasted Marshmallow' ... so yum!

Found this candle at BBW and am IN LOVE. Sadly the scent only comes in this candle :( boo

This is my baby! Well, my two-year-old baby :) little Landon in front of our tree, cheesin' as usual :)

Cookies on cookies on cookies, for real! I made sooooo many this year :) What can I say, they were $1 each!!

My new Nikes!!! Can't tell you how obsessed with these I am. Only 3 stores in Ohio had them and my dad managed to snatch one of the last pairs up in my size! He said they had me written all over them ;) It was meant to be! :D

& the award for best boyfriend would go to MINE! He outdid himself on blessing me with this new sewing machine ah :)

Papa (my dad) teaching Landon how to golf. Suiting, since my dad is a golf pro!

Me and the man I've been so blessed to have be in my life this past year. He truly is amazing & I could not love him more!!

"Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!" Just love my mini-me! :)

Style Must Haves: Winter Edition

With winter approaching FAST, I bet most of you fashionistas are wondering, how am I going to bundle up to stay warm, without looking frumpy? After seeing one of my favorite, fellow bloggers Naty Michele's most recent post about '10 Winter Must Haves' I figured I would do my own personal version.

Toggle Coats: In the past, this style of coat has been more for toddler to elementary school kid chic, but now can be found at almost any and all department stores for women and men. Gorgeous black, nude, red, and purple hues make for wonderful winter wear. This Victoria's Secret toggle should definitely be at the top of your Christmas List!

Envelope Clutches: These statement bags are a definite MUST. I'm in love with their look and shape. Over the last few years we went from oversized handbag trends to now more of a minimalism look. Though it's oversized for a clutch, the envelope shape and thinness is just the right size for a girls night out or romantic dinner with your main man. Great for nights out for carrying few items. This Jennifer Lopez snakeskin envelope clutch is SO cute and versatile! 

Oversized Sweaters: Who doesn't love an oversized sweater? I mean, really. Us girls love wearing boyfriend's/husband's big baggy sweatshirts as frequent as possible, and lucky for us, these are a great alternative, and much more feminine. You'll love the comfy, cozy, feeling and feel stylish knowing this must have is a winter trend. Check out this adorable black and white piece from Urban Outfitters!

Fringe Boots: I have never been a real fan of fringe anything, but once I started seeing fringe boots on display everywhere I went, I was sold. They look so great on and can be worn in so many different looks! Pair with a sweater dress and tights, or over some skinnies with an oversized sweater, you can rock these boots so many ways! I'm obsessed with these red fringe booties from Qupid at Pacsun.

Printed Blazers: Blazers in general can turn a casual, jean and top combo into a fabulous look when wearing the right one. Printed blazers are a real statement piece this season, and I am DYING for this soft, floral blazer from SABO SKIRT.

Beanies: We all hated wearing them as children, but now they're slowly but surely becoming our adult best friend. Not only do they keep your head warm, but they look cute on. Finding the right beanie can often be a  challenge due to many details such as color, fit, how they hang off your head, etc. Nonetheless finding the perfect one will only complete your winter wardrobe. Forever 21 has what seems like an endless supply of beanies for the season, including this awesome one seen here.

Statement Earrings: Personally, I've always chosen huge, dangling earrings over flat studs. I love how elegant or pretty they look and can make you feel. Wearing the right statement earrings can really transform an outfit, and even a basic hairdo like a pony tail. These Vera Wang Gold Tone Swag earrings are on sale for $7.20 what a steal!!!

Hey dolls! So I obviously have been slacking this month on posting :( SO sorry! I've been distracted between working my new job, celebrating my little one's 2nd birthday, and two short vacations in the past week! My boyfriend and I had a short weekend getaway to Vermont, where I was excited to shoot a post complete with mountains in the background, HOWEVER as soon as we arrived we noticed our camera was dead. Bummer! We then a few days later headed up north to Michigan to visit my family, which ended up being amazing! I missed them so much! My stylish cousin, Jenny surprised me with a clothing giveaway of pieces she loved but needed to get rid of and I just so happened to end up being a lucky receiver! No doubt there will be a few sporadic pieces from her in my next posts!

Today, since I slept in and did not make it to church I kept my look casual, but definitely cute. COZY is the best word to describe it (of course with the exception of my heels). I'm loving all neutral looks this fall. Since wearing neutrals all year long is acceptable, it's also a very classic style as well.

Outfit of the Day: Marley & Me

Hello my fabulous readers/subscribers! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today I have been having a serious case of the Mondays, which is why today's look is so casual. I literally just threw on these pieces, looked in the mirror at its Bohemian vibe and actually really liked it! I had to laugh looking back through the pictures while editing, noticing that I looked like a total hipster. It was so amusing LOL! Also want to thank my lovely boyfriend/photographer for taking today's photos even though he has been sick all weekend with a cold and still managed to skip his nap to humor me with his photography skills :)
